Hair-by-Hair Transplantation

The Navdeep Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a minimally invasive hair transplantation technique in which follicular unit grafts (hair follicles) are individually removed from the patient’s donor area and then individually transplanted to the recipient (thinning) area. The grafts are removed using a precision tool and then placed in the recipient area. There is no linear scar and no stitches are required, so your donor area will be minimally noticeable within just a few days.

Why Choose a Navdeep FUE

A Navdeep FUE procedure, as with all hair restoration procedures at Navdeep, is performed by and under the supervision of a Navdeep physician. Navdeep hospital and hair transplantation clinic physicians are highly skilled in the time-tested Navdeep process of natural graft placement, where a patient’s hairline is recreated in keeping with their original hair growth pattern to give them a natural-looking result.

Benefits of a Navdeep FUE Hair Transplant

  • No stitches; donor area appears mostly unchanged within days
  • Natural-looking and permanent results
  • State-of-the-art minimally invasive technique
  • Simple outpatient procedure
  • Fast recovery; many patients return to work the next day

How a Navdeep hospital and hair transplantation clinic FUE is Performed

Using a tiny one-millimeter in diameter (or less) instrument, the physician will remove individual follicular units from the patient’s scalp. The device makes a tiny circular incision around the follicular unit to isolate the graft. The graft is then extracted directly from the scalp using a tweezers-like instrument, and then prepared for placement by your team of skilled Navdeep technicians. Follicular units are arranged into groups depending on the number of hairs contained within each follicle (1-4 hairs are commonly found within each follicle). The placement of these follicular units is what sets the stage for Navdeep’s natural-looking results and artistic difference.

Note: FUE incorporates the latest minimally invasive technology and advanced grafting techniques.

Additional Information:

Preparation of the Donor Area

Typically, the patient’s hair in the donor area is trimmed short so the physician is able to optimally visualize and work on the patient’s scalp, as well as each donor follicle.

Follicular Unit Placement

Hair follicles (follicular units) contain one, two, three or four hairs each, and the strategic placement of these follicles provides the foundation for recreating natural-looking results.

The physician makes small incisions in the patient’s recipient area (areas of hair loss), in keeping with the patient’s natural hair growth pattern. The follicular grafts are then placed one by one according to the number of hairs within each follicle. This is the concept of differential density and Navdeep’s artistic difference.

Donor Area Healing

The tiny incisions left behind after the follicular units are extracted heal completely in a few days. The tiny apertures contract as they heal, making the resulting round incision marks barely detectable. No stitches or other closures are necessary.

Hair Growth

Restored hair will grow in the same fashion as one’s native hair. Approximately three months after the procedure new hair begins to grow. Around six months, a patient should notice significant regrowth. The patient’s hair (native and transplanted) will continue to grow naturally.
